Book Award to Meritorious School Going Children of DOT Employees | Eligibility Criteria, Last Date & Application Form

The Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, has introduced a scholarship for children of DOT employees in 2020. The name of this announced scholarship is Book Award to Meritorious School Going Children of DOT Employees 2020. This scholarship introduced by the government is only for students studying from class 2nd to 12th. Only deserving and praise-worthy students will receive the benefits of this scholarship, based on marks scored by them in the annual examination of the academic year 2019-20. However, the financial award of the scholarship can go even up to INR 3,000 Per Annum.

Eligibility to apply for the Book Award to Meritorious School Going Children  Scholarship

To pass the conditions of this scholarship:-

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidate must be the son or daughter of a DOT employee.
• At least 75% of marks are required in the respective annual examination of Class 1st to 12th in a government recognized school.

Note: There is 10% of marks concession for students who belong to the minority caste group (SC, ST, OBC) & 15% of marks concession is also available for girl child students.

Benefits and Awards of the Book Award to Meritorious School Going Children of DOT Employees Scholarship

These are some financial awards that shortlisted students of this scholarship will receive:-

• Students of class 2nd to 5th on the basis of marks scored by them in class 1 to 4 annual examination, will receive up to INR 1,500 P/A
• Students of class 6th to 8th on the basis of marks scored by them in class 4 to 7 annual examination, will receive up to INR 2,200 P/A
• Students of class 9th to 12th on the basis of marks scored by them in class 8 to 11 annual examination, will receive up to INR 3,000 P/A

How students will get shortlisted for this scholarship?

There is not any particular selection procedure. Students who'll fulfill the eligibility criteria of this scholarship will receive the benefits of it.

Terms & Conditions

• Employees withdrawing amount up to the level 13 of Pay Matrix as per 07th Central Pay Commission (INR 8,700/- GP as per 6th CPC) up to the level of Director as on 01st April of the respective academic year are allowed to apply for their first two dependent children. (It doesn't matter if they are twins, they will get the awards).
• Applicants should revise their bank details for making payments through ECS.
• Employees before enjoying marks scored concession, are required to submit their caste certificate, issued by the competent authority.
