CSIR Innovation Award for School Children is offered is channelized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. This program is for the children below the age of 18 years who are creative and innovative and have some wonderful proposals. The candidates who are interested have to send their original and creative technological design ideas in CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020. Top 15 best entries will be selected and awarded with cash prizes and certificates. The applicant’s idea should be unique and must be a solution to existing problems. The students participating can also use different but relevant design ideas. The concept should have been proved through a prototype, model or experimental data.

CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020 Eligibility

If you are an out of box thinker and willing to apply for this Award then you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates of any gender can apply.
• One must be Indian National.
• School going students below 18 years as on 31^st January 2020.
• Students can participate individually or in a group through only one entry in the competition.

A total of 15 Indian students will be selected for these rewards. The selected students will be given cash prizes rank wise.

1^st Prize – INR 1,00,000

2^ndPrize –INR 50,000

3^rd Prize – INR 30,000

4^th Prize – INR 20,000

5^th Prize- INR 10,000

CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020 Application Process

To apply, one has to submit their creative and innovative ideas in English or Hindi. Your description must be not more than 5000 words through email and also via post. Your proposals should be categorized in streams Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics & Engineering /device and design. The design-based application will be encouraged.

The write up of the applicants must include solution mode, highlighting the major features of the innovation and its advantages. The participants have to send a scanned copy of the authentication letter by the school; they ate studying with the separate page of the following details:

1. Title of the innovation
2. Name of the participant
3. Date of birth
4. Name of the school
5. Residential address of an applicant
6. Class
7. Contact number
8. Email ID

How to Submit the CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020 Application Process

Submit your application i.e. hard copy in A4 size envelope (Write CIASC 2020 on the top left side on the front of the application envelope). Send your application via registered post or through courier given below:

CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020 Selection Process

The selection committee will select top entries of the CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020. The proposal must relate to innovation developed public exhibited during the period from 1 January 2019 to 31^st December 2019. The selection committee will select the best 50 entries. These fifty entries will be offered training cum awareness program. The training program will be organized in July 2020. The participant will get to learn about intellectual property rights and candidates will also be trained to write patent or design applications. During the training, the top 15 candidates will, be selected and will bearded cash prize. The decision will be final and will be changed.

Note – The rewards will be distributed on 26^th September 2020. Selected students and accompanying teachers would be given travel allowance during the training process.
