It is given to underprivileged and qualified Muslim Students who are recently passed out from Class 12th (SSSC) and has taken admission in an undergraduate course of a well-known university. The main objective of a scholarship is to raise the social standard of the Muslim community.

 

More About the IDB Scholarship Programme For Undergraduate

  • The scholarship was started in the year 1983 in many countries to uplift the economic and social status as well as to encourage professional study among Muslim Community
  • The scholarship is sponsored by Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • IDB Undergraduate Scholarship Programme 2020 is also given to Indian students under the Muslim Education Trust. This trust is a volunteer education NGO that works for the betterment of minority class by providing the platform for education.

 

IDB Undergraduate Scholarship Programme Eligibility 2020

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the IDB Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. The eligibility criteria as follows

  • Candidate must be Class 12th passed out (SSSC) securing a minimum 70 % marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Mathematics.
  • It is to be noted that students from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu state must secure 80 % marks in above-mentioned subjects.
  • Applicants who are interested to pursue law must secure 60 % marks in English and optional or elective subjects.
  • Applicant must get admission in a recognized university for an undergraduate course of 4-5 years.
  • Applicant must not be over the age of 24 years.
  • Applicant should not be getting any other scholarship.
  • Applicant having a weak financial background.
  • The person should be committed to serving his or her community after graduation.
  • Candidate pursuing degree course after the diploma is not eligible.

  2. Click on new user registration.
  3. Fill all the mandatory details or download the application form.
  4. Paste recent passport size photograph on form.
  5. Attach all important documents with form.

Important Documents list

The applicants must attach the following documents with the IDB Undergraduate Scholarship form.

  • Attested mark sheet of class 10th and 12th.
  • Attested copies of class 10th and 12th certificate.
  • Copy of fee deposit receipt of the college.
  • Income certificate of father or guardian.

 

Important Dates

The last date to apply for the IDB Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is 31st Aug 2020. All applicants must apply before the last date to avoid any kind of uncertainty.

 

Selection Criteria

  • A candidate will be selected on the basis of the marks in class 12th (SSSC).
  • Further, a candidate will be called for an interview. The interview can also be conducted through Skype.
  • Based on a pre-election interview, a merit list will be prepared.
  • Applicants will be marked out of total 100 marks which are distributed :
  1. 70 % of marks scored in Class 12th.
  2. 20 % marks for financial need.    
  3. 10 % marks for Islamic commitment
  • The list of all interviewed candidates along with their score will be submitted to an authority.
  • The scholarship decision will be final on the basis of the above mentioned.
