Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC 2020, Last Date, Eligibility Criteria, Form

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC is being offered by the respective state government. This scholarship scheme is available for the candidates belonging from the OBC category and pursuing studies of the post-matriculation level. The aim of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the OBC students of post-matric level in order to help them in completing their education without facing any obstacles.

Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

In order to apply for this scholarship, students have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

  • Candidates must be Indian national and belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
  • This scholarship is available for studies in India of all recognized post-matriculation courses (after 11th).
  • Some courses are not covered under this scheme like Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Course and Private Pilot License Courses, etc.
  • Candidates pursuing postgraduate courses in medicine can only apply if they will not practice medicine during the course duration.
  • Those who are pursuing correspondence courses can avail reimbursement for non-refundable tuition fee. Additionally, they can get an annual allowance of INR 900/- for books.
  • The parent/guardian's income of the applicant must not exceed 1 lac per annum.
  • Only 2 children of the same parent can apply for a scholarship. This is not applicable in the case of girls.
  • A candidate must not be the recipient of any other scholarship scheme.

 

Rewards of Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC

  • Scholarship value includes reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees, maintenance allowance, study tour charges/thesis typing/printing charges, maintenance allowance, book allowance and reader charges for blind students.
  • Scholars will get maintenance allowance ranging from INR 160/- to 750/- based on the course which a candidate is pursuing.
  • Reader allowance of up to INR 175/- per month will be given to blind scholars.
  • Under this scheme, the scholars will be paid tuition fees, enrolment/registration fee and other fees like a library, magazine, medical, etc.
  • Students pursuing professional or technical courses will receive study tour charges of up to INR 900/- per annum.
  • On the recommendation of the Head of the Institution, thesis typing/printing charges of maximum INR 1000/- will be provided to the research scholars.

  • Upload all the relevant documents and click on the submit button.
  • Applicants must take the printout of the confirmation page for further correspondence.

  • Aadhar card
  • Copy of passport size photograph
  • Attested copy of certificates/diploma/degrees, etc.

 

Important Dates:

Post Matric Scholarship to OBC application forms has been over now. The last date to submit the form  February, 28th.

 

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will get selected on the basis of the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and their financial need.
