Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students 2020, Assam, Eligibility Criteria, Application Form Last Date  

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has introduced the Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students 2020 Assam. This centrally sponsored scheme is meant for the Assam domiciled students of class 1st to class 10th. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the OBC students of pre-matric level for studies in India.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students 2020 Eligibility:

These are the eligibility conditions which aspirants have to mandatorily fulfill to apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students Assam:

• Students must belong to the Assam state and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
• He/she must be a student of class 1st to class 10th.
• Students whose family annual income is less than INR 2, 50,000/- per annum are eligible to apply.
• Applicants should have at least 60% regular attendance.

Reward Of Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students:

This scholarship is tenable for a period of 10 months. 30% out of the total scholarships are reserved for girl’s candidates. Following benefits are offered to the selected students:

• Hosteller students of class 1st to class 3rd will receive a scholarship amount of INR 500/- per month.
• Class 1st to class 10th day scholar students will receive an amount of INR 100/- per month.
• Also, the scholars will get an ad-hoc grant of INR 500/- per annum.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students Selection Procedure:

The eligible candidates will be given scholarship subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions. Also, a student’s financial background and academic performance will be taken into consideration to offer the scholarship.
