Water Advanced Research and Innovation Fellowship Program (WARI) 2020 is meant for the Indian students and scientists who want to gain exposure to the world-class research facilities. This fellowship program is being offered by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), the Daugherty Water for Food Institute (DWFI) & the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF). Ph.D. students are eligible to apply for this fellowship program. The aim of this fellowship is to encourage students to pursue research as a career in the area of water.

Eligibility Of Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship 2020

Here are the eligibility conditions which aspirants have to mandatorily fulfill to apply for this scholarship

For Student Internships:

• Only Indian citizens are eligible.
• Students pursuing a Ph.D. in water science and engineering from a recognized institute of higher education in India can apply.
• The maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years as on 31st December 2019.

For Fellowships:

• This fellowship is open for Indian candidates.
• Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in water science and engineering are eligible to apply.
• Candidates working in the field of water resources, water chemistry, and environmental engineering can apply.
• The upper age limit of the candidate must be 40 years as on 31st December 2019.
• The applicant must be able to pursue independent research work.
• Research work must be published in internationally recognized academic journals. 

Wari Fellowship Amount 2020 

5 candidates each for internship and fellowship will be selected. The duration of an internship will be3 to 6 months while the duration of the fellowship will be3 to 12 months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, contingency allowance, and airfare.
