National Science Film Festival of India (NSFFI) 2020, Eligibility, Last Date, Application Form, Rewards

National Science Film Festival of India 2020 is conducted by the Vigyan Prasar, which is an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. NSFFI is open for government and non-government institutions, colleges, schools, media centers, production agencies and for the students studying in class 6th to class 12th. Applicants can make a documentary, animation, fiction films on science, technology, environment, innovation, energy, agriculture, traditional knowledge, health& medicine, biographies, and emerging sciences.

Films prepared in between 31st October 2020 and 1st November 2020 will only be entertained. A five-day science film screening cum workshop will be organized for the nominated films of competitive categories from 27th January to 31st January 2020 at Chandigarh. The two representatives of the films not nominated under competitive categories will also be invited to attend the festival. Moreover, one representative of each nominated film of a non-competitive category (foreign filmmakers) will be called to attend the festival.

How To Apply 9th National Science Film Festival of India (NSFFI) Application Form

The application process of NSFFI 2020 is mentioned below:

1. An applicant can submit a maximum of 2 entries. For each entry, a candidate has to submit a separate entry form.
2. There is no entry fee to apply for this festival.
3. The entry form can be accessed by Click here
4. Fill all the details carefully in the entry form.
5. The caption must be clear and legible.
6. After filling the form completely, send the hard copy of filled-in application form along with the pen-drive/CD (containing a copy of the film in Mp4 format, film synopsis in 200-250 words, film script, 5 still photographs of the film in JPEG format and one photograph of director in JPEG), hardcopy of the film synopsis in English and certificate from the Principal/Director. HOD of the school/college (only for ‘Out of the Box’ and ‘Rainbow’ categories).

Selection Procedure

The nomination jury will recommend the films for the festival while the national jury will shortlist the candidates for the award.
