Department of Social Justice & Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra has introduced the Foreign Education Scholarship for SC, Maharashtra 2019. This scheme is meant for the graduates and postgraduates candidates belonging from Scheduled Castes (SC category). The aim of this scheme is to provide an opportunity for the deserving students to study postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in the prestigious Universities of abroad.

Foreign Education Scholarship For SC, Maharashtra Eligibility 2019

The basic eligibility conditions for Foreign Education Scholarship for SC, Maharashtra 2019 are as follows:

• This scholarship is available to study postgraduate and doctoral courses in abroad.
• Applicable must have completed graduation and post-graduation from a recognized institution.
• Applicant must be the permanent resident of Maharashtra and belong to the SC category.
• The limit of the annual family income of the applicant is INR 6 Lacs.
• For pursuing PG courses, the maximum age limit if 35 years and 40 years for Ph.D courses.
• Students admitted in QS world ranking top 100 universities & London School of Economics are exempted from income limit.
• University must fall within the latest QS top 300 world ranking.
• For the renewal of scholarship, students have to pass each academic year and maintain the satisfactory performance.

Foreign Education Scholarship For SC, Maharashtra Rewards 2019

The selected students will get financial assistance in full tuition fee. Also, they will get the maintenance allowance of 14000 USD or 9000 GBP. For US and other countries, the incidental charges of USD 1375 will be paid to the scholars. For UK, GBP 1000 will be paid. Expenses for books, project report & study tour, etc. will also be paid to the awardees. Candidates will get airfare reimbursement for going out and returning back to India.

Note: The tuition fee will be paid directly to the University.
