Google India Code to Learn Contest 2020, Last Date, Eligibility Criteria, Apply Process
Google India Code to Learn Contest 2020 is jointly conducted by the Google, ACM India and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi. Students studying in class 5th to class 10th of any school across India can apply for this contest. The aim of organizing this contest is to teach the students about the use of technology to solve day-to-day life problems. This contest enables the students to form a strong base in computer science.
Eligibility Criteria for Google India Code To Learn Contest
Students can ensure their eligibility for this contest from here
- Students enrolled in any school in India can apply.
- The applicant must be a student of class 5th to class 10th.
- The competition is organized for 3 class groups which are as follows
- Class 5 and class 6
- Class 7 and class 8
- Class 9 and class 10
- Candidates family members professionally belonging to Google cannot apply for this contest.
Rewards of Google India Code To Learn Contest 2020
Total 15 students will be selected for the award (5 students from each class group). All the winners will get
- Achievement certificate
- A Chromebook laptop or equivalent gift
- All finalist will get a certificate of achievement
Apply Process for Google India Code To Learn Contest 2020
Following are the simple steps to apply for Google India Code to Learn Contest:
- Registration will be made online by the concerned computer teacher of the student.
- Teachers can nominate a maximum 5 students from each class (total of 10 students from each group). Maximum 30 students from one school can participate in this contest.
- Click here for online registration.
- Enter all the requisite details in the registration form and save.
- After successful registration, the students can be nominated by filling their required details.
- Upload the project made by the student.
- For nominating each student, this process will be repeated.
- Finally, submit the details.
Terms and Conditions
- Teachers have to upload the nomination letter on the official school letterhead signed by the school head/principal.
- Applicants have to prepare their project using Scratch or App Inventor – fun and cool tools created by MIT

Registration started from – 11th May
Submission of the project starts from – 14th June
Last date of project submission – 31st August (by 11:59:59 p.m.)
Announcement of finalist – On or after15th October
Announcement of winners - On or after1st November
Selection Procedure
The selection of the student will be based on the originality of the project, computer science concept used by the student, project complexity and the rules & requirements followed by the students for the contest.
