Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India has invited the applications of Pre-Matric Scholarship (Occupations Involving Hazardous Cleaning) 2019, Assam. This scheme is applicable to the children of those involved in the occupation of hazardous cleaning. Students of class 1st to class 10th belonging from Assam state are eligible for this scholarship. Under this scheme, the students will receive financial assistance for completing their per-matric studies.

Pre-Matric Scholarship (Occupations Involving Hazardous Cleaning) Reward:

• Day scholars of class 1st to class 10th and hostellers of class 3rd to class 10th will be eligible for the award of scholarship.
• Class 3rd to class 10th hosteller students will get a scholarship amount of INR 700/- per month for 10 months.
• Class 1st to class 10th day scholars will receive an amount of INR 225/- per month.
• Day scholars will get an ad-hoc grant of INR 750/- per annum and INR 1000/- per annum to hostellers.

Pre-Matric Scholarship (Occupations Involving Hazardous Cleaning) Eligibility:

An applicant must be Indian national, a student of class 1st to class 10th, Assam domiciled and children/wards of one of the following categories:

• A candidate who are manual scavengers
• Waste pickers
• Tanners and flayers
• Persons involved in hazardous cleaning

• Students can go through to these simple steps in order to apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship (Occupations Involving Hazardous Cleaning) 2018-19, Assam:
• Application form can be filled through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
• For applying online, click to Apply Now Button
• Start your registration as a “new user”.
• Already registered candidates can log in their account by using their application ID and password.
• Thereafter, select scholarship name, state of domicile, scheme type, etc.
• Fill all the basic details, bank details, and residential address.
• Verify your mobile number through OTP and move towards the filling of rest of the form.
• At last, submit the form.

Applicants will have to submit a certificate from the District Social Welfare officer, the known officer of the local body, Civic Agency or any such authority designated by the State Government.
