Ocean engineering is a study of marine-based engineering that is, it is a study of the ocean and sea environment and technology and how the salt water effecting the watercraft and vessels. It involves the preserving the coastal structures from erosion, to develop energy resources, ocean mining, and petroleum recovered from offshore, to protect the ports and harbors, etc.Ocean engineering is a mix of mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical engineering. •    A candidate can pursue a 3 years Bachelor’s programme in Ocean Engineering after completing their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as main subjects.
•    2 years Tech programme can be pursued after completing the B.Tech. programme. 
•    Diploma programme can be pursued by a candidate after completing their class 10th examination. 
•    To study for the B.Tech and M.Techprogramme the candidate need to clear their entrance examination like GATE.
