H.H. Dalai Lama Sasakawa Scholarship 2020 is initiated under Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation. The schaorlship aims to support the students financially for their masters, bachelors and diploma course. This scholarship is particularly for the students who are residing in self-settled leprosy colonies. This scholarship can only be applied through government recognized colleges/universities.

Dalai Lama Sasakawa Scholarship 2020 Eligibility Criteria

• One parent having leprosy.
• Must have taken admission to the professional courses.
• Must have cleared 12^th to get admission to any professional course.
• A first-year student of professional course for the academic year 2020-21.
• Must be from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra or Delhi.
• Must not have enrolled in any other scholarship.
• The age of the applicant should not be less than 17 years of age.
• Must have completed the last course in the year 2019-2020.

H.H. Dalai Lama Sasakawa Scholarship 2020 Awards

The selected candidates will get benefits like tuition fees, mess fees, admission fees, and boarding /hostel expenses to the colleges directly. Further, the students will get a stipend each month.

• List of photographs.
• Self-attested copy of the birth certificate.
• Self-attested copy of class 10^th and 12^th and graduation.
• Proof of leprosy parent in the form of the certificate.
• Admission letter (provisional).
• A reference letter from a colony leader certifying that applicant is a resident of the leprosy colony and is the only candidate from their family.

• Selection will be done on the basis of merit in the last examination.
• The selection committee will then select the top twenty candidates for the scholarship
