HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2020, Eligibility Criteria, Last Date, Application Form

Debate and Literary Society of HPNLU invite all the postgraduate and graduate students to apply for HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2020 This is the first edition of an online essay competition for the candidates who are pursuing their graduation and post-graduation from any recognized university/ college. The topic of the competition is “Privacy in Social - legal and Cultural Milieu”. The top ten selected essays of the winning candidates will be featured on the official webpage of HPNLU.

Eligibility for HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2020

• Both male and female candidates can apply for this competition.
• Candidate can apply from any part of India.
• Irrespective of gender and age all Post Graduate and Graduate students can apply.
• Only one entry at a time is permitted.
• Candidates have to take part individually, no co-author is permitted.

HPNLU Essay Writing Competition Rewards

• All the participants will get an e-certificate of participation.
• Top 3 winners will be given the certificate of merit and cash prize of :

1st Prize - INR 2,500
2nd Prize - INR 2,000
3rd Prize - INR 1000

• The top ten essays by winners will be published on the official website.

3. Along with the essay, the candidate need to send Screenshot of online registration
4. The applicants need to submit an essay that should carry the following details:

Title of the Essay
Name of the Author
College/institute /university of the Author.
Course in which a candidate is enrolled and year of the author.
Email address and contact number.

Terms & Conditions 

• The language of the essay must be English.
• The format of the essay must be in .doc or Docx format.
• The essay should not be copied.
• The word limit is up to 5000 words.
• The candidate’s name should not be mentioned anywhere in the essay.
• The essay should be typed in New Times Roman.
• Font size should be 12 and line spacing 1.5.
• The margin limit should be 1” or 2.54 cm on all sides.

The essay will be selected on the basis of the following:

• Overall subjective evolution.
• Issues covered and ideation.
• Flow and Structure if the Essay.
• Legal Content and use of authorities and references.
• Language.

Important Date

The deadline to submit the entries is 31st Aug 2020 and the result will be declared on 15th October 2019
