INST Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship 2020, Eligibility Criteria, Last Date, Reward Application Process 

Institute of Nano Science and Technology is the conducting authority of the INST Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship 2020. This fellowship is available for the post-doctoral research fellows. The aim of this fellowship is to encourage the students to pursue research in the field of Nano Science and Technology.

Students possessing research interest in NIST (Drug delivery, sensors, energy, agriculture, water purification, scanning probe microscopy, high-resolution electron microscopy, smart materials, devices, microfluidics, industrial and societal technologies) can apply for this fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria For INST Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship 

Following are the eligibility conditions which students have to fulfill to apply for this fellowship:

• An applicant must be the holder of a PhD degree in science and engineering or must have submitted the Ph.D. thesis in the same.
• A candidate must have excellent academic records and capabilities to pursue research in the above areas.
• The maximum age limit of the candidate must be 35 years as on 1st February 2020.
• Relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC /ST /PH /Women candidates and 3 years to OBC category.

INST Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Reward

The details regarding the value of fellowship are given below

• The duration of the fellowship is 3 years.
• The fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 45,000/- along with a contingency grant of INR 40,000/- per annum.
• The selected candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis but have not received the Ph.D. degree yet will get INR 25,000/- per month till the award of the degree.

4. Fill the synopsis and send it along with the filled-in application form at apply_postdoc@inst.ac.in as an advance copy.
5. The application fee charged towards this fellowship is INR 450/- for general /OBC & INR 150/- for SC/ST/PH.
6. The fee must be paid through DD of any nationalized bank drawn in favor of 'Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali' payable at Mohali/Chandigarh.
7. The hardcopy of filled-in application along with all required documents must be reached to the following address:

Required Documents While Applying Fellowship

• Self-attested copies of certificate in support of age, educational qualification (class 10th and above mark sheets and certificates).
• DD of requisite application fee.
• Photograph pasted on the application form.
• In the case of a working candidate, an experience certificate is required.
• One page synopsis of Ph.D. thesis and a 3-page write-up of the research proposal.
• Caste certificate 

Important Date

The application form of this fellowship program for the August 2020 session has been released. The last date to apply is October, 25th. The list of shortlisted candidates will be released on the INST website in the third week of November 2020.

Selection Procedure

The evaluation committee will shortlist the eligible candidates on the basis of their biodata. The shortlisted students will be called for an interview held at INST. All the shortlisted students have to bring their original certificates at an interview. The final selection will be done on the basis of the candidate’s academic record, research competence, and interview.
