Post Graduate Scholarship for professional courses for SC/ST students 2020 is offered by University Grant Commission (UGC). This scheme is for the SC/St students who are pursuing professional courses at the PG level. The scholarship aims to offer financial assistance to the students who belong to a weak section of the society. This way the scholarship is helping those people who deserve to get an education and making their dream come true.

The scholarship is offered by University Grants Commission, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Read our below section to get all the information.

Post Graduate Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must belong to SC/ST category.
• Candidate must be pursuing the first year of the professional course at the PG level.
• Candidate must be studying in any of the following institutions/colleges /universities:
  1. Institutions/Colleges/Universities / included under section 2 (F) and 12(B) of the UGC Act .
  2. Deemed to be Universities included under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and are eligible to receive help i.e. grant-in-aid from UGC.
  3. Universities /Institutions /college funded by central /state government.
  4. Institute of national importance.
• Courses must be approved by MCI, DCI, PCI, RCI, NCTIS, NCTE Bar Council of India, AICTE, ICAR, INC, Forensic Regulatory and development authority of India.

Rewards of The Scholarship

1000 SC/ST students will be offered this scholarship:

• Students who are doing ME/M. Tech students will get INR 7800 P/M.
• Students studying another professional course will get INR 4500 per month as a scholarship amount.

How To Apply in Post Graduate Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST?

• Click on the “Apply Now” button.
• Visit the national scholarship portal and click on new registration.
• Read the guidelines carefully and then fill all the mandatory information.
• Select the scholarship scheme, gender, write your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
• Provide Bank details (Bank Name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
• Select the Aadhaar or Bank Account number as identification details and click on the ‘Register’ button.
• The mobile number will be verified and OTP will be registered.
• Use that login password for knowing the application status.
