Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship 2020-21, Eligibility Criteria, Reward, Last Date, Application Form

Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship 2020 has been organized by IMFA in the memory of renowned historian late. Prof. Ghanashyam Dash. It is awarded by Bandhisadhar and Ila Panda Foundation to provide higher education in the field of engineering, medicine and liberal arts at any govt. college or institution recognized by the UGC.

The scholarship covers 90% of the academic fees and related expenses for the entire duration of 4 years. Around six scholarships will be given to meritorious students from an economically underprivileged family who are domicile holders of Odisha. Two scholarships are reserved for children of permanent employees of the company but will open for a general candidate if there are no suitable candidates for this section.

Eligibility Criteria: Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship 

The scholarship is offered in two categories which are as follows:

Category 1 (Children of the permanent employee)

• This category is open to children of permanent employees of the company who has a basic salary of less than INR 8500 per month.
• The scholarship will be withdrawn if the employee of the company is dismissed from the service of the company on disciplinary ground. 

Category 2 (others)

• The combined annual income of the parents of the application must not exceed INR 2 lakh P/A.
• Preference shall be given to the applicants from the SC/ST community who are physically disabled. 

Rewards of The Scholarship

Depending on the payment terms and conditions of the concerned college/Institute, Reimbursement will be made to the concerned employee or to the parents of the students or directly to the institute of study as decided by the Scholarship Committee.

How To Apply For Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship?

Category I

Employees are required to apply to the scholarship committee, IMFA Building, Bhubaneswar-751010, Odisha by 30th October every year along with copies of the relevant admission documents and other supporting documents Includes Passing Mark Sheet/certificate, etc of the qualifying examination. All this will be reviewed by the company whose decision shall be final and binding.

After being chosen as a recipient, the student has to submit relevant supporting documents for the scholarship.

Category II

Applications must be submitted to the scholarship Committee, IMFA Building, Bhubaneswar-751010, Odisha. Students /parents can check a proper format available on “Apply Now” Button for Apply Online. The last date to apply is 30th October 2019.

Documents Required for Dash Scholarship

• Marksheet of qualifying examination i.e. class 12th/senior secondary.
  
• Admission documents from the college.
  
• Income certificate from the Tehsildar/competent authority.
  
• Domicile certificate from the Tahsildar/Competent Authority.
  
• Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST) from Tahsildar/competent authority.
  
• Certificate of physical Handicam, if applicable, from district medical board/ competent authority.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship committee will evaluate all the applications which shall normally be ranked on the basis of rank /percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. However, the committee will also see the financial status of the applicant while making any kind of decision.

General Terms and Conditions

• The performance of the recipient will be reviewed every year/academic session so that he/she can continue their scholarship.
  
• To continue scholarship one must get a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks per semester. For continuing scholarship for medical/engineering scholarship students have to score 80% marks
  
• The recipient must notify the scholarship committee for any changes in his/her academic status.
  
• The scholarship will be discontinued if students will not be able to meet the percentage criteria.
