Merit Scholarship for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Students Pursuing Professional/ Technical Courses, Delhi 2020-21 is offered by the Department for Welfare of SC/ ST/ OBC, Government of NCT of Delhi. This scheme is for SC/ ST/ Minority students who are pursuing technical/ professional courses from a recognized university/ college/ professional/ technical institutes. Unlike any other scheme, the scholarship offers financial assistance of up to 1,860 per month to complete the course. This way the government is targeting the underprivileged sections so as to bring maximum literacy to the state.

Eligibility Criteria Of Merit Scholarship For SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Students Pursuing Professional/ Technical Courses

  • Must be permanent redient of Delhi.
  • Belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority community.
  • Must be pursuing their course from a recognized college/ professional/ technical institute at UG/ PG level.
  • Family annual income should not exceed more than 2 lakh P/A for OBC and Minority applicants.

Rewards Of Merit Scholarship For SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Students Pursuing Professional/ Technical Courses, Delhi

Students who are pursuing a professional degree course

Hostellers - 1,620 per month for 1 year.

Day scholar -INR 900 per month for 1 year

Students who are pursuing a PG course

Hostellers - 1,820 per month for 1 year. 

Day scholar -INR 960 per month for 1 year

Students who are pursuing a Diploma or Postgraduate diploma course

Hostellers - 1,110 per month for 1 year. 

Day scholar -INR 720 per month for 1 year

Students who are pursuing general courses till graduate level

Hostellers - INR 804 per month for 1 year. 

Day scholar -INR 420 per month for 1 year

Students who are doing PG in Arts, commerce, or other streams

Hostellers - INR 930  per month for 1 year.

Day scholar -INR 630  per month for 1 year

  • Select the scheme and register with credentials like email, mobile number.
  • You will get the login details.
  • Login with user ID and password.
  • Fill in all the important details and attach the following documents -
    1. Residence proof.
    2.  Category certificate. 
    3. Family income certificate. 
    4. Bank details. 
    5. Academic mark sheets. 
    6. Receipt verifying the fees.
    7. Verification letter if studying outside Delhi

Terms and conditions of  Merit Scholarship for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Students Pursuing Professional/ Technical Courses, Delhi
  • Applicants should not have scored less than 60% marks.
  • Family income should is applicable for SC/ ST candidates.
  • Students getting stipends from government institutions while pursuing the course are also eligible to apply.
  • Students belonging to the minority category must be living in Delhi for the past three years.
  • Minority students have to upload their declaration signed by their parents /guardians that they belong to a minority community in a particular format. 
  •   Students with an academic gap of three years must attach their affidavit.
  • Studnets will bebselcted on the bassi of merit.
