ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme 2020, Eligibility, Last Date, Reward, Application Form

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is providing ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme 2020 to the PhD/MD/MS degree holders. This 2 years of fellowship program provides opportunities to fresh Ph.D./MD/MS holders in the areas of communicable, basic science, and non-communicable diseases, and reproductive health including nutrition at ICMR Institutes /Centers.

ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme Eligibility:

Below, we are providing some of the eligibility conditions which students have to fulfill in order to apply for this fellowship:

• An applicant must be an Indian national.
• A candidate must be a fresh Ph.D./MS/MD degree holder or holding a provisional Ph.D./MS/MD degree.
• PDF guide must have the minimum designation of Scientist-C grade.
• The maximum age of the candidate must not exceed 32 years as on the last date of application. 
• Relaxation of 5 years will be given to the SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates.
• Postgraduate medical students can also do ICMR’s PDF in MCI recognized postgraduate medical colleges

ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme Reward:

• A total of 50 fellows will be selected for this fellowship program.
• Fellows will get a contingency grant of INR 3 lacs per annum.
• Also, they will get a consolidated fellowship grant of INR 50,000/- per month.
•  The fellows will receive house rent allowance along with a non-practicing allowance (NPA).

ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme Important Dates:

Every year, the selection will be done twice in a year. The last date of submitting the application form is 31st June and 31st June 2020.

ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme Selection Procedure:

Firstly, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their publications, citations and their impact factor. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview conducted by the Committees constituted by the Director-General of ICMR.
