Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka 2025: Application Form, Last Date, and How to Apply
Directorate of Minority, Govt of Karnataka invites all the eligible candidates to apply for the Post-Matric Minority Scholarship Karnataka 2025 for IITs and IIMs students. It's a Karnataka government scholarship by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of the minority community to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education, and enhance their employability. Eligibility For Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka 2025
- The scholarship is for males and females.
- This Scholarship is for Students in Karnataka only.
- The applicants must be domiciled in Karnataka.
- The candidates must be from minority communities such as Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, and Parsi.
- Should have taken admission in 11th/12th/ graduation degree course/ diploma course/ master degree course or certificate courses as well as L.L.B/B.Ed/B.El.Ed. after B.A./B.Sc./B.E., etc.
- Candidates must possess a 10th/ Secondary examination passing certificate from a school recognized by the state or central board
- Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks
or equivalent grade in the previous final examination - Annual income must be less than 2 Lakhs INR.
- A candidate must not have any backlog in the previous exam.
Reward Scheme For Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka 2025
The selected students will get a one-time INR 10,000 per annum incentive for the 11th and 12th levels. At the UG and PG levels, it is INR 3,000 per annum. For M.Phil & Ph.D. Rs. 1,200/- per month for Hosteller & Rs. 550/- per month for Day Scholar

List Of Required Documents For Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka 2025
Eligible candidates must send a self-attested copy of the following:
- Valid Income and Caste Certificate.
- Domicile proof.
- Student's driving license / Voter Id/ Ration Card.
- Aadhar Card.
- Identity Card.
- An Identity Card issued by the Institute.
- SSLC and PUC marks.
- All semester marks and the degree certificate/ graduation certificate.
- Copy of passbook.
- A fee receipt and an admission/ registration certificate of the college.
- Copy of the result sheet/ scorecard in a competitive exam.
Selection Procedure for the Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka 2025
For Fresh Applicants:
Since the number of scholarships for minorities is limited each year, preference is given based on need. Applicants from poorer backgrounds will be prioritized over those with higher marks (you must submit an income certificate as mentioned in para-11(ii)). If two applicants have the same income, the older one (based on date of birth) will be given preference.
For Renewal Applicants:
There is no merit list for renewals. You will get the scholarship if you:
Scored at least 50% in your previous year’s exams,
Are studying at the same institute and in the same course, and
The designated authorities and the State Government/UT verify and approve your application.
