Swami Vivekanand Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship 2020 organized by the Department of Higher Education under Govt. of West Bengal for meritorious students who scored 75% in previous exams. The main objective of this scholarship financially supports students who belong to economically backward families. The applicants whose parents income should not more than 250000 can apply for the SVMCM Scholarship. The website further can be accessible for online renewal applications of fresh candidates who received SVMCM Scholarship after passing the qualifying exam in this year.

Eligibility Criteria Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Application Form 

  • The scheme benefits the students of Class 11th and 12th.
  • Students at the undergraduate level of engineering, medical, technical/professional courses.
  • Students of post graduate level pursuing general degree course.
  • Students pursuing M.phil courses and Doctoral courses (NON-NET JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP and NET LECTURERSHIP). 
  • Students' family income should not be more than Rs 2, 50,000

The authority of Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2020 follows some selection criteria on which scholarship is granted. Students should meet the following criteria at different levels.

1.For HS Level
  • A student should get 75 % marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha. 
2.For Diploma Level
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 75 % marks excluding marks secured in any optional or elective subject.
3.For UG Level
  • The minimum percentage secured is 75 % marks in the H.S exam that is conducted by W.B Council of H.S education/Madrasha Siksha Parishad. 
  • Separate merit list will be prepared for UG courses of different subjects in science, arts, and commerce.
4.At PG Level
  • Candidates should be graduates securing a minimum of 53 % marks in the honors.
  • The marks obtained in honors will be subject to decide the criteria for the award of the PG Level Scholarship.

Documents Required With Offline Submission 

Students applying for Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2020 via offline mode should attach the following documents 

  • 2 copy of passport size photograph
  • Income certificate Affidavit.
  • Copy of last mark sheet.
  • Income certificate.
  • Residential proof 
  • Copy of bank account first page.

Note – Payment should be made via direct beneficiary transfer only.  The bank details of applicants should fulfill things like A/C No., Bank Name, IFSC Code of Bank which is mandatory.

Terms & Conditions

  • Students must follow the mentioned terms and conditions properly to avoid the cancellation of an application.
  • It is to be noted that while applying for the scholarship, all students are required to submit an affidavit written on a non-judicial stamp paper valued Rs 10 or more
  • Also, the affidavit should be sworn by the parents or guardian before a notary public or a first-class magistrate, declaring the family income from all the sources during the financial year (1st April to 31st March) of applying for the scholarship.
