What Is the BHM Course (Bachelor of Hotel Management)?
A bachelor of Hotel Management or BHM is an undergraduate course which is of 3 to 4 years of duration (varies from college to college), which prepares students for the hotel industry. While doing this course students will learn different facts and fundamental rules on which the hotel industry works. So it not only prepares students for the hotel industry but also about things like marketing, sales, public relations etc. Whether it is BBA /BA or B.Sc. in hotel management the course has a mandatory internship that students need to complete during their course. BHM Admission Procedure
- Admissions in BHM course is done on the basis of the merit in 10+2.
- Admission in some colleges is done on the basis of a valid score of NCHMCT JEE 2019 or UGAT 2019.
- Some colleges also conduct their own entrance examination followed by counselling.
- An application form is generally available in the month of May ( for the entrance examination and goes till June. The session generally starts in the month of July Mid and August end
- An application form is available in the month of May (for entrance examination) and goes till July every year.
- Applicants must check the course eligibility criteria.
- Candidates can apply through online or offline mode as mentioned by a particular college.
Admission Through Entrance Examination
Admission through entrance examination is conducted by various colleges like GD Goenka School of hospitality and Christ University conducts their own entrance examination for admission process. Similarly, students can also get admission through the Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT). UGAT id national level entrance test conducted for admission in Bachelors of Hotel Management by All India Management Association. UGAT paper generally comprises of topics like:

BHM Lateral Entry
Some colleges also offer admission through a lateral entry that means admission is directly given in the second year (third semester) of four year course. For that candidate need to have a three-year diploma course in hotel management or 12th with minimum 50% marks.
