Admission in RMLAU is done strictly on the basis of merit of marks secured in the qualifying examination. The university conducts its own entrance exam by the name of Avadh University CombineTest (AUCAT). Those students who are willing to take admission in B.tech must have a valid score of UPSEE. Candidates can apply in the month of March. The whole admission process goes till July including counseling session. One must submit their application before the last date.

The fee structure of RMLAU  is quiet nominal than other colleges. The fee structure depends on course to course and varies every year as per college norms. The fee Of UG course is INR 25,000 to INR 2, 000, 00 P/A (depends on course one is opting) and a fee of PG course starts from INR 50,000 and goes till 104,000 P/A as per course. Eligibility Criteria 

1. Must have completed 10+2 in arts, science or commerce (depending on a course).
2. Candidates must have secured Minimum 40% to 50% marks.
3.  Admission will be strictly on the merit of the Entrance examination (UPSEE FOR B.tech) and (AUCAT) for other courses followed by the counseling session.

1. Must have completed UG in a relevant discipline from recognized university/institution.

4. For MCA – Admission will be done on the basis of valid score UPSEE.
5. For other courses- Admission will be done on the basis of valid score of AUCAT plus marks obtain in graduation.

The university offers a PG Diploma course in Fashion Designing and Yoga Therapy. For admission to these courses, a candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. The selection will be done on the basis of entrance exam.

The university offers a Ph.D. course in various disciplines. To get admission in this course, the candidates have to meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. The candidate has to qualify Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by a round of interview.
2. Candidate must have scored minimum 55% marks in Post graduation.
3. The candidate who has qualified any equivalent national level test like GATE, CISR(UGC), JRF or NET is exempted from giving CET.
4. Minimum qualifying marks in CET is 40% in each section followed by the total of 50%.
5. Application Fee id INR 800 and for reserved category it is INR 400.
