Government Pharmacy College, Bangalore

Government Pharmacy College (GPC) is a government pharmaceutical college which is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college was set up in 1964. It is approved by Pharmacy Council of India and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science. The college has been ranked among the top 10 Pharmacy Institutions in India.

GPC imparts the professional education in the field of Pharmaceutical Science. The offered courses are Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharm and M.Pharm in various specializations such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy.

It has best state of the art infrastructural facilities and having all the required amenities and facilities inside the campus. It has well stocked library  with large collection of books, Wifi Campus, Medical Facility, Well equipped laboratories and workshops with latest equipments, Sports facility, Seminar Hall with AC, audio and visual equipments like slide, film projets, OHPs, Video Projectors, Built in Audio Systems, Pull Down Screens, Microphone etc, Lecture Hall, Auditorium with well equipped state of art audio system and lights, sitting capacity of 200 people, Animal house, Medicinal Garden, Separate hostel for boys and girls, Mess and cafeteria and other.

Government Pharmacy College, Bangalore Admission 2021

  • For admission to B.Pharm course, students must have done 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology as main subjects from recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination. Students will be required to appear in KCET Entrance exam which conducted by Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Karnataka. Admission will be purely done on the basis of score obtained in KCET.
  • To be eligible for admission to B.Pharm Lateral, students must have done Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST category students) from recognized University. Admission will be strictly done on the merit basis of qualifying examination.
  • Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy, Candidate must completed intermediate in science stream with PCM/PCB subjects and obtained minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST) from recognized board. Admission will be done on the merit basis and merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
  • For M.Pharm admission, students must have done Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from recognized University. They must have obtained minimum 55% marks in qualifying examination. Students have to appear in PGCET. Admission will be done through counseling based on the score obtained in PGCET.
