Kamla Negru Institute of Technology or Knit was established in the year1976 and is affiliated to UP Technical University. The institute started as the faculty of Technology in Kamla Nehru Institute of Science and Technology, Sultanpur that was run by Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust. Later in the year 1979, it was taken over by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and have now emerged as top engineering college of Eastern UP region. Then in the year 1983, it was registered as a separate society and was renamed as Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology. The college was affiliated to Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. The main aim of the institute is to produce globally qualified professionals for the socio-economic development of the society.

KNIT Sultan Admission 2021

• KNIT Sultanpur admissions are on the basis of valid score of Entrance Examination like UPSEE and Gate. 
• Admission is also done on the basis of merit in the qualifying paper. 
• The admission for B.Tech is done on the basis of a valid score of UPSEE. 
• Minimum eligibility for MCA minimum 50% marks. Admission will be through UPSEE score.
• For M.Tech candidates have to score minimum 60% marks and a valid score of GATE. 
• Admission on will be strictly through counselling and transparent document verification.

KNIT Application Process 

The process of application is online except for the PhD course. For B.Tech, M.Tech and M.C.A course application for GATE is supposed to be filled online. Payment of the application form has to be done online. Candidates will be called for counselling based on their GATE and UPSEE score. Documents that needed to bring at the time of counselling:

• Allotment letter issues by UPSEE.
• Admit Card of UPSEE 
• Original Certificate and marksheet of 12th 
• Original character Certificate and transfer /migration certificate.
• Category certificate and subcategory certificate if applicable. 
• Income certificate showing an annual income of less than 1 lakh P/A. 
• Two passport size photographs 
• Medical certificate 
• Two sets of photocopies for all the documents.

For PhD, the candidates can download the application form from the institute ‘s official website. The form has to be  filled and submitted by the institute with the application form:

KNIT Sultanpur Courses Offered 

KNIT Sultanpur offers UG, PG and doctoral level courses like B.Tech, MCA, MTech and PhD. There are around 60 plus and 3 additional seats of B.Tech, 18 seats per branch for M.Tech  and 60 setas for MCA. The list of courses is given in the table below:

KNIT Sultanpur Admission 2021 B.Sc.

The admission to B.Sc. course is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Students must register online before the deadline to get admission without any hurdle. The admission processing generally starts in the month of May (to be inquired ).

KNIT Sultanpur B.Tech Admission 

The college offers B.Tech in six different specializations. Students must be passed out from 12th from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks and 45% marks for category students. Admission is done as per the rule of Dr AP.J Abdul Kalam Technical University i.e UPSEE score conducted by the mentioned university.

KNIT Sultanpur MCA and M.Tech Admission 

The institute offers MCA course under PG program. The minimum eligibility is that candidates should possess BCA degree with at least 50% marks. Selection is done on the basis of a valid score of UPSEE. The institute offers M.Tech course in five different specializations. To take admission in any of the specialization students need to have a valid score of GATE and must possess graduation in a relevant field.

KNIT Sultanpur PhD 

KNIT Sultanpur PhD is offered in six different specializations. The minimum eligibility is that candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field. The PhD is offered in the field of Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Architecture from a recognized university. The application for registration is required to be made on a prescribed application form of U.P Technical University.
