B.E. - Agricultural Engineering Admission 2021 & Top Colleges

  • The Bachelor of Engineering, abbreviated as B.E. in Agricultural Engineering is the 4 years undergraduate professional course in the field of agriculture.
  • It is the full-time course consisting of 8 semesters. In some colleges/Universities, B.E. is known with the terminology B.Tech. Both degrees are valued equally with the similar curriculum.
  • Agricultural engineering is the branch of engineering deals with the study of applying engineering principles in agriculture to increase agricultural productivity and raise the standard of living of the farmers.
  • The course focuses on theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The course is not considered to be completed without the industrial training. Students have to undergo with the compulsory internship after six semesters.

During the course, students have to study subjects such as:

•    Agricultural Process Engineering
•    Irrigation & Drainage
•    Soil and Water Conservation

•    Instrumentation and Computer Applications in Agricultural Engineering


Eligibility Criteria:
Aspiring candidates of B.E. in Agricultural Engineering must have passed 12th examination from a recognized institution. It must be qualified with subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English.


Admission Procedure:
•    Students have to appear any state level or national level engineering entrance exam through which he/she will get admission in engineering college.
•    However, some colleges provide admission on merit basis calculated on the basis of candidate’s marks in 12th examination.
•    Every year, CBSE conducts JEE Main as the national level exam for engineering aspirants. Apart from JEE Main, several entrance exams like ICAR AIEEA, UPESEAT, BITSAT are conducted for admitting students in B.E. course.
•    The qualified candidates will be allotted seats at the time of counseling
