M. Phil. - Microwave Engineering stands for Master of Philosophy in Microwave Engineering, which is a postgraduate degree program. This course is all about the concepts and fundamentals which cover everything from wave propagation to reflection and refraction, guided waves, and transmission lines. It includes the study of microwave generation, measurement, and processing of equal emphasis. Under this course, students will get information about the different types of microwave components, antennas, tubes, transistors, diodes, and parametric devices. Further, they will examine various types of cavity resonators, semiconductor and RF/microwave devices, and microwave integrated circuits.
In addition, students who hold Master degree of M.E or M. Tech. can only apply for this degree. After completion of this course they can find career opportunities in atomic power plants, hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants, biomedical electronics, power corporations, hydro-electricity sector, production plants and etc.
