UG Diploma in Footwear Design & Production Admission 2021

• It is a 2-year undergraduate diploma program in footwear design & production. 
• Footwear  Design & Production mainly concerned with the designing of footwears such as shoes, leather shoes etc.
• Along with this, it also includes the study of the production of footwear that includes how it manufactures, type of material used for manufacturing footwear products. 
• It’s a challenging job of a fashion designer who has an interest in designing shoes going as per the styles for men, women and children, casual shoes, formal shoes and sports shoes.
• Being a footwear designer, you will mainly use the computer-aided-design (CAD) software or do a drawing to form town designs.  
• A person who has an interest in fashion, know the fashion trends, can draw well, this may be a good creative career for them.
• To pursue this course, you must have certain skills like good measuring skills, drawing skills, analytical skills, creative thinking and good communication skills as well.
• To attain this course, you must have completed your graduation in equivalent discipline from any recognized university. 
• Under this course,  you will study about element & principal of design, environmental studies, market trend, history of art &  design, photography, textile study, business communication,  history of fashion, digital presentation and many similar topics.

Admission procedure 

• The admission of candidate will be based on their obtained marks in previous year examination
• Some institute also conducts entrance exam to offer admission into this course.
• After the entrance exam, you have to appear for counseling procedure or personal interview.
• The final selection of the candidate will be based on a merit list, which depends on the institute to institute.

• Gradually, with the experience, they can set up their own footwear label. They can also get employed as a footwear technician, footwear line builder, trade analyst, cost analyst, senior production coordinator or production manager, etc.
