Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme For RPF/RPSF 2022, Eligibility, Last Date, Application Form

Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF 2022 is being offered by the Security Directorate, Ministry of Railways, Government of India. This scheme is available for the wards or widows of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel who are below the rank of a gazetted officer. The aim of this scheme is to financially support and encourage these candidates for pursuing technical and professional education.

Eligibility For Prime Minister Scholarship 2022

Here are the eligibility conditions which students have to fulfill to apply for this scheme

• The applicant must be the ward or widow of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel having rank less than the gazetted officer.
• Students must pursue a technical or professional course from government-approved authorities such as AICTE, MCI, UGC, NCTE, etc.
• It is necessary for the applicants to secure a minimum of 60 % marks in the qualifying examination in order to apply for this scheme.
• Two wards per family can be eligible for this scheme.

Reward Of PM Scholarship Scheme For RPF/RPSF

Students can check below the details of the value of a scholarship. The duration is 1-5 years. A total of 150 scholarships will be granted to the eligible students.

• Male candidates - INR 2,000/- per month.
• Female candidates awards -  INR 2250/- per month.

How To Apply For Prime Minister Scheme for RPF/RPSF 2022

The application process of Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF 2020 comprises of following steps

1. The application process will be online.
2. Click here to apply online.
3. Fresh students have to click on “New User? Register”.
4. Enter your name, state of domicile, gender, mobile number, DOB, email ID, scholarship category, bank details, etc.
5. After clicking on register, you will get an OTP in your registered mobile number.
6. Enter OTP and fill the scholarship form.
7. Applicants must fill all the details carefully and correctly.
8. One candidate can submit only one application form as multiple applications will lead to rejection.
9. Candidates must note down the generated application ID and password for further use.

Required Documents 

• Qualifying examination mark sheet
• Service certificate of the serving personnel issued by respective offices for category IV
• Copy of PPO/Discharge Certificate/book for categories I, II, III.
• Bank Details (account number and IFSC code)

Important Date

Application forms are now available. The last date to submit the filled-in application form is 15th November 2022.  

Selection Procedure

For selection, the preference will be given to the following categories as per the sequence:

Category-I: Candidates who are wards and widows of ex-RPF/RPSF personnel died in harness due to encounter with terrorists or with criminals on duty. 
Category-II: Candidates who are the wards and widows of ex-RPF/RPSF personnel who died in the tenure of their service comes under this category.
Category-III: Under this category, the wards of ex-RPF/RPSF personnel who have retired.
Category-IV: Wards of RPF/RPSF personnel fall under this category.
