Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre Matric Scholarship 2019-20 Arunachal Pradesh, Eligibility, Last Date & Application Form

For ST students of Arunachal Pradesh, studying in class 9th and 10th, The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Government of India) has launched the Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre Matric Scholarship. This scholarship by the government aims to support ST students while reducing their financial burden. This will also reduce the dropout rate of students studying in class 9th and 10th in the elementary, secondary stage. The shortlisted candidates will receive variable rewards.

  • Last Date of Application: 30th December 2019
  • Last Date for Institute Verification: 16th January 2020 
  • Last Date for Defect Verification: 16th January 2020

Eligibility for Umbrella Pre-Matric Scholarship of ST Students

To be considered eligible, the candidate must fulfill these requirements:-

  • Candidate must be studying in the 9th or 10th standard.
  • Candidate must be a resident of Arunachal Pradesh with a Domicile Certificate.
  • Belongingness of the candidate must be from a scheduled tribe.
  • The annual family income must be less than INR 2 Lakh.
  • While applying for this scholarship, the candidate should not apply for any other centrally funded pre-matric scholarship.
  • Candidate must be a full-time learning student either in a government school or in a school affiliated/recognized by the government or through the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Umbrella Scheme Amount/Reward/Benefits For Pre Matric Scholarship for ST Students

  • According to the scholarship, INR 150 per month will be provided to the day scholars & INR 350 per month to the students living in hostels.
  • Books and Ad hoc grant of value INR 750 Per Annum for day achievers and INR 1000 Per Annum for hostel students.
  • An additional allowance of INR 240 Per Month will be provided to the ST students with disabilities.

How to Apply Umbrella Scholarship Scheme Application Process

Anyone after meeting the eligibility requirements can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

  1. Land on the official website page of the National Scholarship Portal and click on the New Registration to start as a new user.
  2. After reading all the terms and guidelines, select the undertaking, and proceed to continue.
  3. Select the category of scholarship, the domicile of your resident state, type of scheme & gender. After that, enter the applicant's name, mobile number, date of birth, and e-mail id very carefully, without any mistake.
  4. Give your bank details carefully and correctly: Bank Name, Account No, IFSC Code, MICR Code.
  5. For identity verification, select either Aadhar card number or click on the Bank account number.
  6. After verification, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number.
  7. Furthermore, log in using your OTP and fill the entire form correctly.
  8. After submitting the form, the applicant will receive an application ID and password for future references.

Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form with genuine and correct information. After submission, any change in the form won't be possible. One thing to remember the most is that multiple submissions of the form will result in blocking the applicant permanently.


Documents Required to Apply for the Umbrella Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for Education of ST Students in Arunachal Pradesh

  • One copy of the scholarship's application in the prescribed form.
  • Passport size photographs of the aspirant with his/her signature on it.
  • A certificate of schedule tribe signed by the authorized Revenue Officer.
  • An income certificate of the applicant's family showing the total annual family income.
  • An attached receipt in the acknowledgment of the scholarship, countersigned by the Head of the Institution of School concerned.
