Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, in short, known as UPTET, is a State-level exam that is held once a year by the U.P. Basic Education Board.

The Candidates who will receive their UPTET Certificate will be those candidates who qualify for the UPTET Exam. The UPTET Certificate is valid for 5 years. Every year, Between 10-15 lakh candidates appear for the exam of UPTET.

The candidates who qualify for the exam of UPTET will become eligible for primary level teacher (classes 1-5) and upper primary level teacher (classes 6-8) in the schools of Uttar Pradesh.

Qualifications needed for UPTET Primary Level Education are: 

• Bachelor degree in any stream with passed/appeared D.EL.ED (Final Year) OR
• Bachelor degree in any stream with 50% marks/master degree in any subject with B.Ed. degree (appearing/passed) OR
• Bachelor degree in any stream with 45% marks/master degree in any subject with B.Ed. degree (appearing/passed) OR
• 10+2/Intermediate with 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed OR
• Bachelor degree in any stream with BTC Urdu/Special Degree.

Qualification needed for UPTET Junior Level Education are:

• Bachelor degree/Master degree with 50% marks and B.Ed./B.Ed. special exam Passed OR

• Bachelor degree/Master degree with BTC Training 2 year exam passed OR 
• 12th/Intermediate exam with 50% marks and B.LEd 4 year course OR 
• 10+2/Intermediate with 50% marks and B.SC.Ed exam passed OR 
• Any other equivalent education qualification.

Hindi, English, Urdu and Sanskrit are the Available Languages. 

Exam Pattern of UPTET is simple, The UPTET Written exam will have multiple choice objective-type questions. Two papers are there which will be held in two shifts- morning & evening. One mark for each correct answer is there. Also No negative marking for the wrong answers. The duration of each exam will be 150 minutes

UPTET Primary Level Exam Pattern {Paper-1}includes subject such as Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy, 1st Language (Hindi), 2nd Language (Anyone from English, Urdu & Sanskrit), Mathematics and Environment Studies with  number of Questions- 30 and Total marks- 30 in each subject.

UPTET Primary Level Exam Pattern {Paper-2}includes subject such as Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy, 1st Language (Hindi), 2nd Language (Anyone from English, Urdu & Sanskrit) with  number of Questions- 30 and Total marks- 30 in each subject. Also last subject that paper-2 includes is A. Mathematics/ Science | B. Social Studies/Social Science with number of Questions- 60 and Total marks- 60. 

To Qualify UPTET Exam, the Marks Required are: 

• The Candidates of General category are required to get 90 marks out of 150 marks i.e. 60% marks.
• The Candidates of Reserved Category are required to get 82 marks out of 150 marks i.e. 55%.

Stating the UPTET Exam Fee, Rs. 600 for General/OBC/EWS, Rs. 400 for SC/ST & RS. 100 for PH (Divyang) and This is For 1 Paper Only. For Both Paper (Junior/Primary), it is RS. 1200 for General/OBC/EWS, Rs. 800 for SC/ST & RS. 200 for PH (Divyang). Payment mode is Both Online/Offline.

UPTET has its Validity. The UPTET is valid up to 5 years from the date of result declaration.

3. Update Password and Pay Fee.
4. Complete Correspondence Address.
5. Upload Scanned Photo & Signature.
6. Download Complete Application Form.

Particularly talking about UPTET Exam 2021, There are some important dates that candidate should keep on checking. 

Having the Admit Card with you is necessary. Admit Card is the UPTET Hall Ticket, without it we are not allowed to enter the examination hall. Details that Admit Card contains is: Candidate’s Name, Father Name, Mother Name, Roll Number, Exam Date and Time, Exam Centre Name, A Place for Photograph and Signature, Instruction related to the Examination. Downloading & taking Print out of Admit Card for Future reference is must.

Also Curious about the term UPTET Answer Key, Once the written exam has been completed, the Candidate can match their questions and answers in the exam paper. The Board releases the official UPTET Exam answer key for the same. If a candidate feels that any question has a wrong answer in the exam answer key, in that case he/she can fill an object form against the answer of that question. Basically after matching the answer with the official UPTET Answer Key, Candidate can expect his /her total marks.
