Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) is a Private aided Engineering College, located in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. It has been established under the aegis of the Shiva Education Society in 2009.
It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University.
The campus of SIET is spread over an area of 10 acres of land. It has a peaceful environment for learning. There are all major facilities inside the college campus. It has well-equipped laboratories and workshops with latest equipment, Library with National and International Journals, Newspapers, Magazines etc, separate hostel for boys and girls, Sports and Medical facility, transportation facility, Seminar and Conference Hall, Mess and Cafeteria, Gym and many more facilities.
It has fully fledged Training and Placement department which consists the team of highly qualified and experienced members. The cell conducts the training and placement activities such as Internship, GD Session, Seminars, Workshops, Guest lecture, industrial visit, Presentation Skills and others. The major recruiting companies are Infotech, Accenture, Hero, IBM, HP, HCL Technologies, Ambuja Cement, Airtel, Infosys, Garmin, Wipro, TATA, Sify, Reliance, Tech Mahindra and many more.
SIET Bilaspur imparts the technical education in the field of engineering disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering etc.
The College conducts various curricular and extracurricular activities for the overall development of students. The major activities are Tech Fest, Sports Fest, Cultural Programs, Cultural events, Seminars etc.

Admission to B.Tech, the duration of B.Tech course is 2 years. Students must have completed 10+2 in science stream with PCM Subjects from recognized Board and secured minimum 45% marks. Students must have valid score in JEE Main. Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in JEE Main through a state level counseling.
For M.Tech admission, students must have done B.Tech or BE in relevant discipline of Engineering. Students with valid GATE score can also apply for this course and they will be given first preference.
Diploma admission, students must complete High school with Mathematics and science subjects from recognized Board.
Students with 10+2 in science stream with PCM subjects or ITI can take direct admission in 2nd year.

SIET fee structure is less as the comparison to other colleges in Bilaspur. Any student can afford the college fee. If they are not able to pay the college fee, then they can opt for an educational loan.
