Thapar Polytechnic College (TPC) is a Private Polytechnic College, it is one of the top polytechnic colleges in Punjab, located in Patiala, Punjab. It came into existence in 1956. The college is affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training.

For admission to Diploma courses, students must have completed high school with mathematics and science as mains subjects from a recognized board. They need to score a minimum of 35% marks. Students will be required to appear Joint Entrance Test (JET) conducted by Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training.
Admission will be done through central counseling based on the score obtained in the Joint Entrance Test.
For getting admission direct in the second year, students must have completed ITI or 10+2 in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board.

The fee for diploma courses is very feasible. The fee for the General category student is Rs.31,250 per annum (Admission time Rs.18,150 and Next semester Rs.12,000).
Fee 5% fee waiver for the state quota students and concession in fees for the SC/ST category students.
