For admission to B.Tech candidates must be 10+2 from a recognized board.
- Must be born after October 1st, 1995.
- 80 % of seats will be acquired through UPESEAT and the rest 20% through JEE Main.
- The non-entrance category must submit their JEE Main score.
- UK State Board candidates must have scored 80 % in +2 and PCM subjects.
- Candidates born on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to apply for the Integrated Law Course.
- BA admission will be done based on interviews and counseling.
- Admission to B.Plan, B.Des is based on the entrance exam.

UPES Dehradun PG Courses Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized university/college.
- Must have secured a minimum of 60 % marks.
- Candidates must have a valid score of GATE (M.Tech)/ CAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ XAT (for MBA), CLAT (For Law,) or UPES Entrance Exam.
- For the fellowship of M.Tech candidates must have a valid score of GATE and will be given INR 12,400 for 2 years.
- For M.Plan candidates must have an 8.0 score SGPA/ CGPA in all the semesters. Also, candidates must have regular attendance with good disciplinary behavior throughout the course.

UPES Dehradun Admission offers PhD courses part and full time in various specializations. The admission is based on RET i.e. Research Entrance Test followed by the interview. Candidates must have scored 60 % marks in their Master’s Course. Candidates with 5 years or more managerial experience will be given 5 % relaxation.

- For admission to the B.F.A course is based on UPDATE.
- Similarly, for M.Tech, admission is done based on the score of UPESMEET.
- For M.Des course its id based on UPESDAT/CEED.
- For admission to the LLB course, one should have a valid scorer of UL-SAT/CLAT.
- For B.Plan+M.Plan course is based on the valid score of the U-PAT exam.
- 85 % seats are filled by UPSEAT (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test) and rest by the merit of JEE Main.
