B. Tech. - Food Process Engineering stands for Bachelor of Technology in Food Process Engineering, which is an undergraduate degree program. Food Processing Engineering deals with the principles of processing food in a scientific manner. It involves those techniques which use to convert raw materials into food. Under this course, students will gain knowledge about various quality control procedures that involve in the checking of contamination, adulteration and controlling the nutritional value of the food products. It also provides the detailed information about storing and preserving of food products. It includes the topics about the Unit operation, Food Safety, and Quality Management. Through this course, students will get knowledge and skills for better preservation, processing and value addition to agro -products, with the aim of supporting the producers. In addition, students who have completed their 10+2 with subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can apply for this program.
