 BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery, which is an undergraduate degree program in the medical field. It is a 5.5 yrs course, which includes 1 year internship. Homeopathy is another health science that treats patients with small amounts of homeopathic medicines. This medical system uses thinned solutions made from natural sources such as plants, animals and minerals for healing. The diluted remedy aids the body in self healing and thus relieves symptoms and restores good health. Diluted remedy is usually provided in the form of sugar pellets. Some other forms in which remedies get provided to patients are- tablets, fluids and ointments. Under this course, students will gain complete knowledge about the Homoeopathic medicinal system. After completing this degree, students will become a doctor in the homeopathic medical field. The degree holder is eligible to have the prefix as a doctor, the abbreviation is Dr.
