National Youth Award 2025-26: Eligibility Criteria, Application Form & Last Date
The Ministry of Youth Affairs invites all eligible candidates to apply for the National Youth Award or the Rashtriya Yuvak Puraskar 2025. This award is granted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to Indian youth aged 15 to 29 years for their tremendous and outstanding work in social service. The National Youth Award India Winners get a Medal, Certificate, and Prize Money of INR 1,00,000 for individuals and INR 3,00,000 for organizations.
The award is presented to young men and women and voluntary organizations for their extraordinary work in the field of development activities and social services such as health, research, and innovation, culture, promotion of human rights, art and literature, tourism, traditional medicine, active citizenship, community service, sports, smart learning, and academic excellence.
Objective of the National Youth Award 2025
The National Youth Award, or Rashtriya Yuvak Puraskar, aims to celebrate the efforts of organizations that actively engage youth in creating positive social change while recognizing the exceptional contributions of young individuals making a real difference in their communities and the nation.
By encouraging a strong sense of social responsibility, the initiative helps nurture responsible, community-driven citizens. It also inspires those between the ages of 15 and 29 to strive for meaningful impact through acts of service and leadership in national development and social causes.
Eligibility Criteria For National Youth Award 2025
To apply for the National Youth Award, the candidate must be :
- Citizens of India.
- Between the age of 15- 29 years as of the first January of the nominated year.
- Should have done extraordinary and identical social work.
- The award winner should not have won the award before. It will be conferred only once in the person's lifetime.
- If the applicant's family is employed in any government service, i.e., with the Central/State Governments, PSUs/Universities, Colleges/schools, etc., is not eligible for the award.
To apply for the National Youth Award, the organization must be :
- The working body should have been properly constituted by the Registration of Societies Act, 1860 (Act XXII of 1860) for the last three years or under the corresponding State Act and have a proper constitution or Articles of Association according to the constitution.
- It should be a non-profit organization.
- Should be in the position to secure involvement on a voluntary basis.
- Should not discriminate against any religion, caste, creed, etc.
- It should have a good reputation among the local community/area.
- It should not have been bestowed with this award before.

The National Youth Award Winners receive the following:
- Number of Awards in the individual category: 25
- Award: Medal, Certificate & award money of INR 1,00,000
- Number of Awards for Organizations: 10
- Award: Medal, Certificate & award money of INR 3,00,000

- Under the Individual category, provide the following details. - Name as per Aadhaar/Valid Identity Proof, Date of Birth, Nominator/Applicant Type, Mobile No, Email ID, and Aadhaar Number. Under the Organization category, provide the following details. - Type of Organization, Name of the Authorized Person as per Aadhaar/Valid Identity Proof, Date of Establishment, Brief Description about the Organization (100 Words), Designation, Mobile No., Email ID, Aadhaar Number.

Selection Criteria National Youth Award 2025
Candidates and organizations will be selected on the following criteria:
- The screening committee will select all the applications and propose the names of the awardees thrice and the number of awards to be given.
- The selection committee comprises eight members who will scrutinize all the recommendations and make the final selection.
