Meghalaya Scholarship Reward, Eligibility, Registration Form

Meghalaya Scholarships is the initiative taken by the government of Meghalaya along with the central government. The scholarships are given to the domicile holder of Meghalaya who wants to pursue their higher studies. The places are tourist attractions and possess some fine colleges like IIM, Shillong, and NIT Meghalaya. The scholarships are given at different levels like:

  • Category certificateSC/ST/OBC /EBC/Minorities etc.
  • Girl students
  • Engineering students
  • Handicap/disable students
  • Meritorious students

The main emphasis has been given to providing financial assistance to the students who are from the weak economic background.

1- Special Scholarship Scheme Ishan Uday for NER

University Grants Commission invites application for Ishan Uday Scholarship for North Eastern Region. The aim of this scholarship is to promote higher education and to encourage students who belong to economically weaker family.
Candidates who are studying the first year of the undergraduate program, eligible to apply for the Ishan Uday Special Scheme. Selected students will get a chance to win up to INR 78000.

2- POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP (PMS) FOR ST STUDENTS - MEGHALAYA

 It is offered by The Government of Meghalaya to Scheduled Tribe children whose parents are financially weak to support the child’s education. The scholarship is the only relevant for those students who are citizenry of Meghalaya and are pursuing their education from a recognized private/government/Meghalaya of the state. The Government of India declared the Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship 2021 Umbrella Scheme For Education of ST candidates and all the eligible students can fill the scholarship form on or before 11th March 2021.

3- PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR ST STUDENTS - MEGHALAYA

It is provided by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India. this scheme is an initiative for those students who are studying in the 9th and 10th classes who are belonging to a financially weak background family. Selected students will receive variable awards. The candidate who want to apply for this pre-matric scheme make sure their family income should not more than 2 lac.
