B. Tech. - Power Systems Engineering stands for Bachelor of Technology in Power Systems Engineering, which is an under graduate degree program. Power Systems Engineering is the discipline which connects the electric power, economics and management. This course deals with the power generation, transmission, utilization, distribution of power equipment and the electrical devices to connect the electrical systems such as generators, motors and transformers. At the same time, it deals with the art techniques in power system analysis, stability, planning, reliability and forecasting. Through this course, students can do research in the field of power quality, power system reliability and application of power electronics to power systems. Furthermore, students who have completed their 10+2 with science stream can apply for this degree program. Once they will gain this degree, they can find many job profiles such as Power Distribution Systems Engineer, Power Applications Engineer, Power Plant Design Engineer, Transmission Line Planning Engineer and etc.
