All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology 2023 Reward, Last Date, Eligibility

The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) is conducting  All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology 2023. Candidates pursuing full-time graduation in any discipline can participate in this essay competition. The objective behind conducting this contest is to highlight the achievements of DAE in basic sciences and nuclear technology development.

Aspirants can choose to write an essay on any of the following three topics:

• Long Term Energy Security & Sustainable Development in India - Role of Nuclear Power
• Advances in Radioisotope and Isotope Technologies
• Science & Technology of Plasma for Mankind and Safe Environment

All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates wishing to apply for All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology 2023 need to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• This contest is open for regular students pursuing full-time graduation in any discipline from a recognized institute of India.
• Candidates who have received prizes (including consolation prizes) in DAE earlier essay contest are not eligible to apply.

All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology Rewards:

• Three candidates will be selected for the 1st prize. The first prize winners will get a cash prize of INR 25,000/-.
• 3 candidates who are selected for the 2nd prize will win a cash prize of INR 20,000/-.
• An amount of INR 15,000/- each will be provided to the three candidates of 3rd prize winners.
• Candidates who reach the oral presentation in Mumbai but not secures the 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize will be awarded a consolation prize of INR 7,000.
• The candidates who are selected for oral presentation in Mumbai will get rail fare of to and fro AC 3-tier by the shortest route. These candidates will also be eligible for boarding and lodging in the guest house of BARC at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.

How to apply for the All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology:

Here, we are providing the guidelines regarding the application process of this essay contest:

• Aspirants can submit the form via offline mode.
• Candidates need to submit the entries by post.
• First of all, choose the topic of an essay and write it in not more than 2000 words.
• Also, attach a bonafide studentship certificate issued by the Principal of College/Institute.
• Applicants also need to mention their name, contact number, and email ID in a separate detachable sheet. Along with this, also mention the address, contact number and email id of the college/institute.
• At last, send all the entries by post to the following address:

All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science & Technology Important Dates:

• Conduct of oral presentation in Mumbai – last week of October
• Prize distribution – October 30th

Selection Procedure:

The top 36 candidates will be called for oral presentation in Mumbai in the last week of October. The final selection will be done on the basis of essay quality and performance of the candidate in an oral presentation.

Terms & Conditions:

• The introduction part of the essay must not exceed 350 words.
• The conclusion of the essay must be up to 150 words.
• The essay must be completed within 2000 words.
• It must be submitted by a single author and the language of the essay is Hindi or English.
