Malayalee Engineers’ Association (MEA) of Houston, Texas, USA is the authority offering MEA Scholarship 2020. This scholarship is meant for first-year undergraduate students of engineering/technology/computer science/architecture and naval architecture. The objective of this scheme is to financially help the Kerala origin students in pursuing engineering studies.

Eligibility Criteria for MEA Scholarship India

The eligibility criteria for the MEA Scholarship is as follows:

• The aspirant must be the permanent resident of Kerala state and pursuing a first-year engineering program in Computer Science, Technology, Architecture or Naval Architecture from an accredited engineering college or university in India. 
• Applicants must have secured above 85 % marks in Class 10th and 12th examination.
• B. Arch students have to score more than 110 in NATA.
• The family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 1.5 lacs per annum.
• Engineering aspirants have to appear Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) and secures rank in between 1 to 5000.

MEA Scholarship Reward 2019

Each awardee will get a scholarship amount of USD 600 per annum.

3. Now, students have to fill details in the detailed scholarship application form. Click on the below link to download the Detailed Scholarship Application Form.pdf.
4. Fill both the forms and thereafter Click on below link download the‘Recommendation Letter Form’.
5. Complete this form and signed it with the headmaster/principal or teacher of the school where the student is pursuing class 10th and class 12th.
6. At last, get all the supporting documents, scan it in PDF format and email it along with completed application form, recommendation letter form, at meahouston.2020scholarship@gmail.com with the subject line 'MEA 2020 Scholarship application –“Applicant’s Name”’.

List Of Documents Required While Applying For MEA Scholarship India are

• Class 10 and 12 mark sheet (attested by the Principal/Head of the Department of the Engineering College where the student is currently enrolled).
• Income certificate
• Extracurricular details
• KEAM mark sheet/certificate
• A statement explaining the type of work, labor, agriculture, or business, if the applicant's parents or guardians are daily wage workers or laborers or engaged in agriculture, trade or business.
• An essay stating the financial difficulty
• A statement regarding details of receiving scholarships other than MEA.

Important Dates

The online applications of this scheme have been started. Aspirants can apply for this scheme before 15th October 2019. The scholarship will be awarded before 31st March 2020.

The student’s selection will be done on the basis of their academic performance and family background.
