Post Matric Scholarship For OBC Students, Madhya Pradesh 2020, Eligibility, Last Date, Application Form

Post Matric Scholarship for centrally sponsored students to OBC students is a small initiative taken by Indian government especially focusing OBC category. Scholarship offers financial assistance to the students studying at post- matriculation or post-secondary stage which helps them to complete their education. The scholarship will be available for studies in India and will only be offered by the government of sate/union territory to which an applicant belong i.e. Domicile holder of a particular state/union territory.

Eligibility Criteria Of Post Matric Scheme For OBC

• Students belonging to OBC Community.
• Be a permanent resident of state/union territory in which student belongs.
• Must be in pursuing post-graduation/post-secondary course.
• Family income must not exceed more than 1.50 lakh P/A. 

Note – Students pursuing a PG course in medicine will only be eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the course. Also, the students who are willing to pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible under the distant and continuous courses.

Rewards of Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC

Students eligible under Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC will get many allowances that include maintenance allowance, reader charges for blind students, reimbursement of the compulsory non-refundable fee, study tour charges, thesis typing/printing charges and a book allowance for students pursuing correspondence course. The amount is distributed course wise which is hostel charge INR 750 to INR 160, Readers charge is between INR 175 to INR 90 P/M, Study tours INR 900 P/A. Thesis and printing charges of INR 1000. The amount for thesis and printing charges will be paid on the recommendation of the Institution.

How To Apply OBC Scholarship Scheme Online Application Form

•  Visit the National Scholarship Portal  and then click “New Registration”
• Read the guidelines carefully and select your undertaking.
• Select the state of domicile course category, gender, scholarship and fill all the mandatory details.
• Provide all your bank details and click the “Register” button.
• The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be created.
• Login using that OTP and fill form. 
• Application password and ID will be generated

Note- All applicants are advised to fill the form correctly as no changes will be made once the form is submitted.

Post Matric OBC scholarship 2020 Last Date

There are many scholarships running for OBC students. Each scholarship has a different deadline. Generally, the scholarship is announced in the month of May-June and lasts till December of a particular year.

Terms and Conditions 

• Scholarship shall not be awarded for training courses like Aircraft Maintenance and pilot courses and any other military college, Dehradun and Courses at Industrial Training Institutes.
• Candidates after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in different subject e.g. I.SC after I.A or B.com, after B.A or M.A in another subject will not be eligible.
• Professional having LLB after B.T/B.Ed. will not be eligible.
• Students who have received coaching in any of the pre-examination training centers with the government's financial support will not be eligible.
