Assam Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020, Last Date, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India has released the applications of Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020, Assam. This scholarship is applicable to the Assam domiciled students studying in class 9th and class 10th. Through this scholarship, the Government is providing an opportunity to economically weak ST students to avail of financial assistance for pursuing higher education. This initiative is basically taken to encourage the backward classes of society to pursue higher studies. 

Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020 Eligibility:

The basic eligibility conditions for Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020, Assam are as follows:

• Only Assam domiciled and ST category candidates can apply.
• This scholarship is open for the students of class 9th and class 10th studying in a Government school or in a School recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
• Candidates intended to apply for this scheme must not have a family annual income more than INR 2 Lacs.
• Students who are presently receiving any other scholarship/financial assistance cannot apply

Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020 Reward

The scholarship will be distributed for a period of 10 months. Thereafter, the candidates can renew the scholarship for the next academic year based on good academic performance and regular attendance. The benefits offered to scholars are:  

• Day scholars will get INR 150/- per month while the hostellers will receive INR 350/- per month.
• Also, the awardees (day scholars) will get books and ad-hoc grant of INR 750/- per annum and hostellers will get INR 1000/- per annum.

How to apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students (Class 9 & 10) 2020 Assam:

• There is the only online mode to apply for this scholarship.
• For applying online, click to Apply Button
• Candidates must read all the instructions carefully to familiarize themselves with the application procedure.
• Click on ‘continue’.
• Now, select state of domicile, scholarship category, scheme type, gender and enter details like name, DOB, mobile number, email ID, bank details, etc.
• Verify your mobile number through OTP and move towards the filling of the remaining form.
• At last, note down the system generated user ID/application ID for further references.

• Passport size photograph
• A copy of the prescribed application form
• ST category certificate
• Income certificate

Eligible candidates can now apply for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10). The last date to submit the application form for this scholarship scheme is 11th March 2020.
