The government of Kerala, with its subsidiary departments, has started a broad term of scholarships known as the DCE Scholarship. Every year the government of Kerala invites applications for the scholarship so that they can provide financial assistance to the students for completion of their education journey. The Primary purpose of this scholarship is to support deserving and capable students financially, who usually leave their journey of education in the middle due to financial disturbances.

DCE Scholarship has got scholarships for both school and college-going students. A group of scholarships has been introduced by the Central Government and the State Government. These two departments on whose behalf the scholarships for students of the state have been offered are Department of Minority Welfare & Department of Collegiate Education.

Detailed Summary - DCE Scholarship 2021

1- Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala

Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala 2021 conducted by the Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala, The students who are belonging to minority communities can apply for this scheme. The main objective of this scholarship to support school students from weaker sections to pursue their education at SSLC (matriculation), plus 2 and VHSE levels.

2- Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS) Kerala

Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS) is conducted by minority welfare, Govt of India. This scheme specially for minority category students who are pursuing nursing diplomas or paramedical courses. The candidates who belong to Kerala state and parent's income should not more than 8 Lac can apply for Mother Teresa Scholarship. Selected students will receive 15000 per annum for their respective courses.

3- Blind/PH Scholarship, Kerala

Blind/PH Scholarship is offered by the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Govt of Kerala. The key objective of the Blind/PH Scholarship Scheme provides financial support to blind, physically handicapped and deaf students who are the permanent resident of Kerala State and studying govt./aided arts, commerce, and science colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students must belong to Kerala state.
  • Blind/physically handicapped and deaf students can apply.

Eligibility Criteria - DCE Scholarship Kerala

  • A candidate must be the native of Kerala.
  • The applicant must belong to a minority community including Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, and Jain community.
  • The family income of the applicant must be less than INR 8 Lacs.
2.Blind/PH Scholarship, Kerala 2021-22
  • Be a Blind/PH/Deaf student studying in Govt./Aided Arts and Science Colleges, Music Colleges, and Govt./Aided Higher Secondary/Vocational Higher Secondary Schools
3.CA/ICWA/CS Scholarship (IWCS), Kerala 2021-22
  • Should belong to the minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsis, Jains).
  • Must have secured a minimum of 60 % marks in the qualifying examination.
4.District Merit Scholarship, Kerala 2021
  • Be studying in higher secondary, VHSC, ITI or Polytechnic courses
  • Have scored an 'A' plus in all subjects in the SSLC Examination March 2021, conducted by the Board of Public Examination, Kerala State.
5.Hindi Scholarship (HS), Kerala
  • Candidate must be a native of Kerala
  • Have Hindi as one of the subjects in the present course of study at undergraduate or postgraduate level
6.APJ Abdul Kalaam Scholarship (APJAK), Kerala 2021
  • Applicant should belong to Muslims, Christian, Sikh, Parsi and Jain Communities
  • Applicants Family Annual Income Should not Exceed Rs.8 Lakhs
  • The student must be Permanent Native of Kerala
  • Candidates Admission must be in the merit list for any Diploma course in polytechnic college.
7.MEA Scholarship 2021
  • Applicant must be a 1st-year student pursuing a 4-year or 5-year course in 2021 leading to a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Architecture or Naval Architecture from an accredited engineering college or university in India.
  • The annual family income must not exceed INR 1.5 Lakh.
  • The candidate must have appeared for the Kerala State level entrance examination (KEAM) and ranked lower than 5000 (1 to 5000).B.Arch. students must have scored greater than 110 in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
  • The applicant must have scored 85% marks or above in class 10 and 12 exams.
  • The students pursuing a degree through lateral entry are not eligible to apply for the scholarship. 2nd, 3rd or 4th year engineering students are not eligible to apply.
8.Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS) Kerala, 2021
  • The applicant belongs to a minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsis, Jains).
  • Family income less than 8 lakhs.
  • Be a native of the state of Kerala.
  • Have secured admission in a merit seat for nursing diploma/paramedical.
9.Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship, Kerala 
  • The applicant must be in the first year of HSC/ VHSC/ Undergraduate course in government /aided arts/science College.
  • A girl should belong to the forward of the BPL family and backward community.
10.State Merit Scholarship, Kerala 2021
  • Candidate must be the first-year student of Under Graduate or Post Graduate course in Govt/ Aided colleges or University Departments.
  • Applicant must have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination.
  • Family annual income not exceeding INR 1 Lakh
11.Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship, Kerala 2021
  • The Candidate must hold the domicile certificate of Kerala state.
  • Applicant must be the first-year student of any undergraduate or postgraduate course from Government or Govt. aided colleges or University Departments in Kerala.
  • The Candidate must belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.
12.Vidyadhan Scholarship Program 2021-22
  • The Applicant must be pass 10th examination from the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidate must have passed the current SSLC examination with at least 90% marks or obtained 9 CGPA or A or A+grade in all subjects.
  • Parents Income is not more than 2 lacs per annum.
13.Post-Matric Scholarship ( PMS ) For Minorities
  • Candidate must be studying in class 11,12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D.
  • The applicant must have at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.
  • Belong to the minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian/Parsi).
14.Central Sector Scholarship (CSS) Kerala
  • Those candidates are eligible for CSS who obtained 80% or above marks in the relevant stream for a particular board of examination in the 12th class or equivalent.
  • Candidates' parents/ family income should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum for all categories.
15.Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS) Kerala
  •  The applicant must be studying in a Government Music College or Government Fine Arts College. 
16.Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala
  • Belong to a minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsis, Jains).
  • Be a native of the state of Kerala.Study in a government/aided school.
