Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute or SBSPGI Dehradun is a pioneer college in the field of biomedical science in Uttarakhand as well as in the Northern Region. It was established in the year 1994 and constantly striving hard in providing quality education. In the year 2021, the university is established with the motive of providing high-class education.

SBS University Scholarship Policy 2024

Sardar Bhagwan Singh PG Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research, Dehradun provides scholarship opportunities to students, so they can continue their higher studies without any financial blockades. The Scholarship is being provided based on merit. College introduces this scholarship every year, but existing shortlisted students should not expect any repaid from this scholarship.

Terms of Merit Scholarships

• Students applying for UG courses with 65% marks in 12th standard, will get INR 2,500 Per Semester.
• Students applying for UG courses with 75% or above in 12th standard, will get INR 5000 Per Semester.

Sikh Minority 

5% free seats in all courses are already reserved for candidates who belong to the Sikh Minority Community. To attain the benefit of this, the candidate must submit a copy of an affidavit issued by the University, along with approval from the Local Gurudwara Management Committee. 

Sports Quota

5% of seats are reserved with 25%-100% impartment of scholarship benefits for students who get admission through sports quota (District/State/University/Nationals). Sports allowed in this are Cricket, Football, Table-Tennis, and Basket Ball.

Ex-Students

Every ex-student of SBSPGI/SBS University who have secured 60% marks or above in University's qualifying examinations will be awarded a scholarship amount worth INR 2,500 Per Semester.

Rules for Scholarship

• Scholarships are limited, therefore one candidate can apply for only one scholarship.
• If any candidate gets shortlisted for more than one scholarship, then he/she is bound to select one of them.
• Students are free to review award scholarships brought to them by their respective state and central governments.
• Scholarship of any student can only be continued after proper review of every academic year by the Vice-Chancellor headed by the Dean Academics.
• Students applying for the scholarship must present these 100% returnable documents at the time of applying for verification: Respective Marksheets, and Character Certificate.
