University Grant Commission invites eligible applicants for UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship 2020. Candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test by UGC and UGC Council of Scientific and Industrial Research can apply. The aim of this fellowship is to support academic research in the stream of Science, Humanities and Social Sciences. Selected candidates will receive a decent fellowship amount.

UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship Eligibility

• One must have a qualified NET or UGC-CSIR Join test.
• Must be a master’s holder in Humanities, science and social science with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Must not be more than 30 years of age on 1^st June 2020.
• Final year students of the Master’s degree course can also apply.

UGC NET JRF Rewards

Selected candidates will get many benefits like:

• Fellowship amount up to INR 14,000 per month.
• Contingency grant up to INR 25,000 per annum.
• INR 3000 for departmental assistance.
• Escort reader assistance for INR 2000 per month. This is for physically challenged and blind candidates.
• Hour rent allowance.
• Medical facility in university /institution/college
• Paid leaves.

UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship Terms and Condition

• The selection for JRF is typically and by universities/institutions /colleges.
• Under the JRF scheme, the tenure is 2 years.
• If research found satisfactory, the tenure period d will be extended for 3 years under the Senior Research Fellowship.
• Total tenure of JRF and SRF is five years and will no provision will be extended.
